EAB/Lemon Super League 2008: Round 7 Game Vote

EAB/Lemon Super League 2008: Round 7 Game Vote (Special round - Sequels)

You can find the full rules here, but briefly:

- The voting for Round 7 starts now and will end at 11:59pm UK time on Saturday, June 21. Round 7 will start on Sunday, June 29.
- Vote for 5 games.
- This is the vote for the second special round of the season. For each voting choice you must pick a game and one of its sequels. In a series of three games or more you can choose any game you want, you don't have to choose the original if you don't want to. The series with the most votes wins and both games are played. In the event that a series with more than two games wins, and some have voted for 1&2, whilst others have voted for 2&3, the votes for each individual game will be added up and the two with the most votes played. The rejected game(s) will still be eligible for a future round. Remember that both games will be played over 3 weeks so pick things that are suitable for that length of time.
- Your first choice gets 5 points, second 4pts, third 3pts, fourth 2pts, fifth 1pt. Except for TodaysForgotten who has double voting power for the second leg - his first choice will get 10pts, second 8pts, third 6pts, fourth 4pts and fifth 2pts.
- Edited votes will de discounted (unless you are told to edit it, and even then you can only edit the game(s) that aren't suitable) - so think before you post.
- Please only vote on one board - either EAB or Lemon. You can only vote once, and also it could cause confusion if you post your vote on both boards - it's easy for it to be counted twice by accident.
- If you want to see what the Lemon lot are voting for click here.

Games Already Played: Super Stardust, Pinball Fantasies, Deluxe Pacman, Jump 'n' Roll, SWIV, The Chaos Engine, Turrican

Bugged Games:

Lotus 2: The different online versions all have different scoring systems. If Lotus 2 is played everyone must use a special version that will be provided by this board, in WHDload and ADF format. (UAE requires A1200 setup, High-Density floppy drive, 4MB Fast RAM)
Anyone is welcome to vote, play and chat at any time. May voting commence...

@CyberDruid: Excellent Job choosing X-Out , i would have also chose Z-Out but my version is severely corrupted.
Hi blade,

thanks, I don't forget such things
In this special round you have to choose a game and it's sequel, so you need to adjust your vote unfortunately. As a sequel to Katakis you could choose R-Type (kind of a sequel ). It's a pity your copy of Z-Out is corrupted. Maybe someone down under can make you a copy until the round starts. I think Awesome has no sequel so this one has to wait for round 8

Oh damn!, i didn't realise, thanks for the info Druid! And yeah you are absolutely right, Awesome had no sequel, but i don't want to choose R-Type because although i love the game, i find it too damn frustrating.. lol. So i will need to seriously rethink this one. As for Z-Out, i am sure i can find a good copy of it somewhere So i will keep X-Out up there ( how could i not? ).

Thanks again!

Actually to be honest, your choices are pretty much spot on! I will just change the Rainbow Islands one, because we can't really have it "exactly" the same!.

Under a week to go for the voting now, and it's currently very very close between three series of games. And TodaysForgotten hasn't used his double voting power yet either which could potentially shake things up still further...

That's because he hasn't decided between Operation Wolf and Chase HQ yet

You've done it totally and utterly wrong but never mind... also I don't want the current scores being posted here in case it directly influences other people's votes... if people want to know the scores they can jolly well count them up themselves and then keep it to themselves

5. rick dangerous 1&2

Alien breed looks cool but we just played what looks to be a very similiar game in the chaos engine.

Haha, don't mention. I looked at some youtube video's and it seems like a shooter i can easily get into. Plus, i need to try and distance myself from John. I need to get a top 2 place finish in Turrican for my master plan to be a great success! (:

@TF: Maybe it becalms you a little that I never bothered playing Alien Breed. It seemed too hard to me and kinda boring (just one type of enemy). So if it's gonna be AB it will be a whole new game for me to beat, too...

Hi john,

Alien Breed is really fun to play with two players. If you play it with just one player it's not so great as with two players . I love Aliens (the movie), so I like the atmosphere (yes there is some, even with just one enemy type ) and you can buy new weapons. Always loved that in a shooter .
