Problem installing James Pond extended ADF

I recently noticed that Insert Disk 2 hosts a fair amount of unique eADFs, one of them being (the first) James Pond. I wanted to give this a try with the WHDLoad install but though RawDIC appeared to get off to a flying start, it then stalled, reporting a checksum error on track 124.

Does anyone know if this is one of those intentional checksum errors, or if it's simply a bad dump?

an unsupported version maybe....

Well according to Sebkos, you provided the image, so possibly it's unsupported. We'd have to hear from JOTD to know what particular disks he worked with before...

Interestingly, the bootblock and part of the disk is AmigaDOS-based, complete with startup-sequence and a little boot executable that supposedly connects to the MFM part of the disk. Not sure if all versions were like this.

This is standard retail version.

Great to hear that. Now why won't it install properly? Just a duff image?
