Gloom Special Edition 97 - "HD install" --> "ADFs"

Hello there all,

This weekend in my spare time I've been working on another "HD install" --> "ADFs" project

This time it's: "Gloom Special Edition 97": http://hol.abime.net/2742

Boy, was this one difficult... I was using these files for the source as they are the only disks available:

... Gloom - Special Edition 97 (1997)(Black Magic)(Disk 1 of 3)[h DLM - Bodyguards][HD, 68020].adf
... Gloom - Special Edition 97 (1997)(Black Magic)(Disk 2 of 3)[HD, 68020].adf
... Gloom - Special Edition 97 (1997)(Black Magic)(Disk 3 of 3)[HD, 68020].adf

Installed to HDF firstly as always, but when changing options / starting the game it would crash randomly due to the "DLM" cracktro been loading before the game's intro

Anyway, played around, deleted the "DLM" cracktro, edited a file that referenced this, blah, blah, blah... and now the game is stable

Next it was onto LZX'ing everything up into parts, creating the floppy disks, creating the "s/startup-sequence" etc...

So; all now finally finished after a lot of hard work and it's working like a treat

A massive thank you must be to said to Cobe / jbl007 / Akira for getting around the last final "issue" (that wasn't a showstopper but me being a perfectionist and all that)

One last thing though; due to amount of files being extracted into RAM you need to use an AGA configuration with 2MB Chip & 8MB Fast RAM (also setting a 68040 CPU is recommended if you wish to play in a full window; but not absolutely necessary).

Anyway; finished project now in The Zone!

Hopefully for WinUAE / GameBase Amiga / A1200 Gotek / A1200 users without hard drives this will be appreciated.

Hey there guys,

Thought it best to put all these "HD install --> ADFs" on the EAB file server

The following files are now sitting under "~Uploads/DamienD/HD INSTALL --> ADFS":

... BattleShips II v1.1.6
... Contraption Zack
... Gloom - Special Edition 97
... Super Bubble Remix v1.3

Obviously I can't upload these though as; well you know why...

... Gunbee F-99 - The Kidnapping Of Lady Akiko (AGA)
... Marblelous II (AGA)
... Marblelous II (ECS)
