I would be interested in the delfina if you consider to sell it.

Very nice DDNI.

An observation that I'd be interested in seeing if others can confirm:
My main reason for buying an Indivision was so I could run 1024x768 using the HighGFX drivers without getting a headache...
...I had a moment of wondering if my new toy was broken!
-Display not centring on the screen, tearing of the pixels on the WB-bar, lots of flickering / blanking when I dragged stuff round the screen...

No amount of fiddling with monitor settings, tooltypes, overscsan settings, or indeed the Indivision setup proggie would help - Yes, I checked; it was properly installed in my A1200...
...There's three versions of HighGFX on aminet: 40_4, 40_5, 40_6 & in conjunction with installing my Indivision I upgraded to the 40_6 version as it was released for said FF...
...downgrading has cured all the above problems!

Another observation:
The Indivision setupup proggie works fine (only V0.8 I realise) & is perfectly usable but the GUI is pretty mangled on my system - how about others?

Yet another observation:
My Indivision gets pretty warm (not uncomfortably hot) in the middle - where the flatter of the Altera chips sits above Budgie...
...others experience the same?

Keyboard interface with INDIVISION-A1200T

Holy shit, the keyboard interface i have is NOT from LYRA and i have problem.

The shitty keyboard interface board i have is bigger than the LYRA KB board.

I dont know the brand of this board, but i can see that it will not work with Indivision board .

@AmigaKit - what shall i do? I will buy the Indivision from you,( if cheaper than VESALIA ofcourse) but it seems that i have to buy new keyboard interface aswell.
This will be way more ca$h than i planned for, sadly.

Any clues?

@ Policequest... Ouch! I feel for you At least I had the option of hacking mine to fit.
These issues will crop up repeatedly over the next few weeks. No one is to blame, it is simply the hacky nature of our Amiga hobby.... Damn if it were easy it would be no funn

@PoliceQuest:
Tricky - I've no idea what your adapter is but from your photos it looks like the the tracks aren't close to the edge of the PCB...
...If it's a case of 'I'm buying an Indivision & I'll just have to buy a Lyra too' you have nothing to loose. I'd suggest the following:
Out with the keyboard adapter, in with the Indivision, and try to put the keyboard adapter back in...
...Have a good look @ where the PCB's overlap, if possible try to mark it out with a magic marker...
...back out with the keyboard adapter & fingers crossed none of your drawing overlaps traces on the adapter.
Now for the fun bit:
Cut the excess off! I'd suggest using a Dremmel; massaging the fit with a grinding bit, or removing big bits with a thin cutting wheel.
If one or two traces will be cut in the above process it may still be doable - Follow the traces for their connections & after the butchering session repair by soldering 'patch-wires' for the bits that are now missing.
Brave pills may be required...
...works? Good. Dead? You've lost nothing IMO.

@TC:
Nice piccies there.
Out of curiosity what HighGFX driver version are you using?
How warn is your Indivision getting?
Thanks.

@DDNI
Thats no problem for me to hack/cut my keyboard interface and resolder the crystal and som resistors.
But that will be more job for me, and a ugly KB interface .

But anyway, DDNI can you messure the height of the indiboard, please?
In metric would be nice.
Messure the A1200 motherboard to top of board (thickness) se picture

@TheCorfiot i borrowed your picture, if you dont mind.

Is there a LYRA kb interface on the pictures of indivision board?
Can anyone verify that, thanks

@PQ:
Ooo, another thought:
If you're better than me with a soldering iron (wouldn't be hard) how about this?

There must be room for the keyboard adapter's socket (there's room for the Lyra).
How about desoldering the socket from the pcb, solder in some extension pins, then reattach to pcb..?

A much neater approach that would make room by raising the PCB above the Indivision...
...a bit fiddly I suspect, but would look fine post butchery.

AFAIA:
This photo shows Indivision, Lyra & IDEFixExpress together.

@Charlie
as you can see on my kb interface against LYRA is the 13mm from the PLCC socket. That is much to cut and it wont be nice .

My thoughts was if the Indivision board is much thicker then 6mm, then my kb interface will slip right under it.

Anyway, this kb interface i have has several bugs in games and apps....scroll lock keep lit up and locks the keyboard in games....on one of my favorites also, "Pinball Dreams".

So, the LYRA it will be then.... €29.75 about 280 Swedish crowns.

So, Amigakit or Vesalia ..... Vesalia is cheaper then AmigaKit.

I'm using the 40_6 HighGFX drivers, But 1024x768 Workbench is to hard on my eyes (old age LOL), The Next HighGFX resolution down is pretty good though & does not seem to slow the system down too much.

The Board is getting a bit Warm but it's not approaching a worrying temp.

Thanks, warm board is 'normal' then - good.

40_6 good for you, eh? I guess it's a variation in setup thing. I'm happy enough as mine's fine with the 40_5 drivers...
...odd though.

Charlie I would say that the Monitor's response & capabilities have a lot to do with the Stability / Useability of HighGFX rather than the A1200 / Indivision.
The latest revision is probably timing tweaks which some monitors may prefer others may not.

I do suggest trying the other HighGFX resolution though it's a better performer, easier on the eyes bit still a much larger desktop.

Best Regards

TC

The scanlines really add to reto experience. I have always found LCDs, which lack them, result in hard jaggy edges in miggy games.

What do you lot think?
