Yes it is Fred but I think (not certain) that he is using version 2 on this tape. He goes through using a lot of Flyer tools but the Composite Studio part is by far the largest segment. The video opens with about 10 minutes of his wife explaining scanning and basic editing of images in Windows but the rest of the video is all Amiga.

Edit: I just looked at the video you linked (after posting the above of course ) and it is the same tutorial. It has been cut out of the complete video above.

Ok, try those 3 files again. These copies pass Disksalv's check. They replaced the previous ones in the same location.

great. all tested, all read/extract without errors. thanks

#1) I've done a Fly-FX tutorial from the pdf. this is extremely cool.
project setup in the switcher/editor, next start fly-fx from tools menu
and it does start and setup lightwave.
too bad is freezes the emulation, when it starts rendering. but the whole process is really nice.
someone with a toaster/flyer should do that and report how it goes, or make a video

Next batch. Not much this time. Mostly directory organization - see below.

Power FX Addendum 5.0 book by Alan Chang
eclips by Aloha Fonts disks and manual
AutoPaint by A+ Development manual
GVP ImageFX manual
Nova Design ImageFX 2.1 Manual Addendum
Nova Design ImageFX 2.1a Manual Addendum
Visionaire manual

I forgot to mention before that the documentation that is portrait (can read without rotating) has been setup so that they can be searched. Unfortunately the OCR doesn't work on landscape scans.

I rearranged the directories so that they made more sense. Instead of having the software and documentation for a program in the 2 directories, both are in the software directory for the program. I also went a bit anal on the directories. Now there's a separate directory for each company and all of the software and documentation for their products are in that one directory. Even if I haven't uploaded the software yet, the documentation is already in the company directory in the software directory. That leaves the Documentation directory to only have the documentation for hardware and the books.

The same was done for the Multimedia Resources directory. That folder has things like fonts, backgrounds, clips and also magazine CDs.

Hopefully this will make it easier to find things.

thanks for the new uploads. folder structure looks good
eclips_Disk_3.adf image has one bad file. I can salvage with disksalv,
but you may try to reproduce a fully working copy.

OCR: I found the PowerModule entry, thanks to the searchable pdf some days ago

I've got to just break down and check each adf with Disksalv before I upload. Haven't been doing it because it's such a pain in the emulator

depends on the emulator setup. with workbench bootfloppy and
disk-swapping it is terrible, I agree.
you may just drag & drop disksalv4 on you workbench copy
(delete somthing in Prefs folder if there is not enough space)
and put the new adf disks in df1:

in the emulators you may also increase floppy disk speed.
winuae: F12 config gui -> Floppy drives -> 8x (slider)
fs-uae: launcher -> Additional config tab -> floppy speed -> 800% (popup)

turbo/warp values may break compatibility. so 8x / 800% is ok.

maybe this does help a bit

No, it's just tedious. I'm running AmiKit X. It's the F12, load the image, return to emulator, rinse and repeat

Does that floppy speed up effect the performance of Disksalv? Will it be able to check an image at non standard speed?

try to drag & drop the adf file from windows side in the emulator window,
it should mount in df0:

since the emulator may write to the adf file, I pack the file in a zip archive,
and drag&drop it from within winrar, with opened zip archive.

you may try the zip file too, should work aswell (1 adf in zip only)

Do you mean drag to the WinUAE configuration window (the one that opens when you press F12 in the emulator) or do you mean to run the emulator in a (instead of full screen that I usually do) and drag the adf file from Windows Explorer and drop it on the Amiga Workbench window?

That's not a bad idea. I've been checking the write protect box in the WinUAE page where you mount the floppy images. I'll have to try that. Thanks.

yes, while the emulation is running in window-mode on your MS-Windows desktop.
grab a file in windows-explorer and move it over the winuae window , just drop it.

I'm not sure how it handles "drag&drop" files, maybe it keeps the write-protection active. I cannot say for sure.

I 've heard about games that fail to run at floppy speeds other than 1x, so try that too if an adf fails to work at faster speeds...

Actually it makes Disksalv slower. It DOES work but when it gets to the hash part it is noticeably slower - maybe 40% - 50%.

Using the images as floppies is much faster. It's just when Disksalv gets to the last stages, it slows down a lot. I'm running the latest version of WinUAE.
