Best looking copper backgrounds on Amiga OCS

Dear Coders

In many your productions you are using copperised background bars to enhance visual effects of your programms/demos/games. Unfortunatelly while I am sure you are great programmers your sence of graphical taste in many cases is much to be desired.
For you I have searched and extracted the best looking copperised backgrounds i could find, so you could use them just as they are, without hurting someone elses eyes.

Absolutelly Brilliant is the background from Brian The lion game, which looks incredibly smooth despite being only in RGB12.

Enjoy
PS. If someone could actually create ready to use copper lists from those background it would probably help others to use them

Did you see the interview with Mevlut Dinc in "Bedroom to Billions: The Amiga Years" about how they fiddled with the gradient from going (I assume for one of the RGB colours) 13, 14, 15 to instead going 13, 15, 14 and suddenly looking much better?

No i did not however if we exclude digitaltoanalog conversion anomalies, such behaviour is explained by psychovisualistics of the human eye. We do not percept different colours in the same way, so some combinations of colours just appear softer than others. In Amiga OCS where you are dealing with limited RGB12 space you just need to find certain combinations which gives better results and this is what i did to help others create better amiga graphics.

What they did with the gradient in Brian the Lion is pretty clever, just some coarse color changes across the horizon, but it really looks like a bit of jungle in the distance when you're playing.

You're thinking of the flickering yeah.. it's acceptable on CRTs, but Agony on LCDs.

The flickering is pretty bad some some CRTs too. I had the old Philips monitors and the flicker from the copper background in later levels of Lionheart was awful. Fortunately there was a key that turned it off.
