WinAmInfo aproved on sourceforge.net
http://sourceforge.net/projects/winaminfo
So the development has started. What I need is different drawer info's from each and every OS available.on the Amiga. Drop them to WINAMINFO [AT] FADMAIL DOT COM If you're sending them now before DFmaker is out then please make sure that you follow these rules below: Submit a text file compatible with Windows containing the following info: Your full first and last names (obligatory) Your nickname (obligatory) Your group (obligatory) email (optional) homepage (optional) Short description minimum 50 chars (obligatory) Full description minimum 200 chars (obligatory) Files must be named OS_INFOKIND.info, so if you submit a prefs for OS1.3 it should be named OS13_PREFS.info.or if you submit a trashbin info for OS205: OS205_TRASH.info And if you can, please provide a picture in jpg format 80x50 showing the resulting info. Amiga users, you can pack with LHA, I can get my head around extracting such files. Oh yeah and one last thing: Make sure that you put ".INFO submition" in the subject field or else the email will be classed as spam. Thanks in advance! |

Ok sorry for not turning on the lights...
But here is a brief description of what it is supposed to do: When you're using WinUAE and create bootable directories and launch the emulator with that directory then you'll see nothing in workbench. WinAmInfo = Windows Amiga Info. It recurses the subfolders and checks out if the directories have proper .info files assigned. Get my point? If an info is missing then the file is copied to the position so Workbench can peek into the directories instead of peeking around in the dark. Infos are created on the fly on amiga, but not in Windows. That's why this app is needed. I hope you've got a good enough explanation. But questions will surely arise, so just ask 'em. |

I do believe this will be more useful for 1.3 installs than 2.0 and above, since you have the option "View - All Files" from there upwards, meaning every file and drawer will be accessible directly from Workbench.
That said, I hope you succeed with your project, there's WAY to little Amiga-activity as it is, without me discouraging attempts to make WinUAE more accessible too Best of luck, mate |

Damn, a slight setback here, have to reinstall Delphi, when that's done I'm ready to rock.
