4.1FE GUI and winuae
I apologize if I return to the subject but I have really reached an excellent configuration after many tests over time.
And today I am very happy with 4.1FE There remains a single point that if solved it would be perfect. Until today I thought that winuae was the problem but I think it is not even if I hope so, so I look for feedback if there can be. I activated some options in the GUI preferences with these once activated the system can manage multiple applications at the same time without any system block or apparent stall when I perform multiple operations this until now was one of the most annoying things of the 4.1FE system. There is only one point left that I cannot solve. I realized that in reality it is not the system that is accidentally faulty. But it always happens and that's the problem I can't solve. In practice, for example, if I see a video and while I am watching it and I simply click on an icon the video stops until I release the icon again and then continue without problems. If this problem would be solved then using 4.1FE would be perfect I hope the problem is only with the amigaos4.1FE GUI options I just wanted to report it just in case it's a winuae issue Thank you I leave a video if it can help to understand better [ Show youtube player ] |

Hi thomas,
thank you very much for your reply, i didn't know I thought it was not normal for example for menus and windows it happened the same but I solved it by selecting non-blocking menus and it shows the window when moving and the video does not freeze, otherwise it would freeze also in that case. I was thinking about some mouse config errors in winuae So this also happens when moving files for example 300-400mb on a real machine? Thanks again. |

ok created a configuration with MUI for many years that I have not used it anymore I have to study it better but it seems to work.
I have to do the various tests later, hopefully it works :-) I don't know if it is compatible with the whole system [ Show youtube player ] |

ok the MUI loophole doesn't work as I expected so at the moment it's okay that way.
I would say that the winuae configuration is perfect the amigaos4.1FE system works without any crashes and apart from the limits imposed by the system and the emulator (of which I am very happy anyway) Everything works fine now the crashes are really rare or caused by my tests sometimes to push beyond what emulation allows. Anything that will eventually be done to improve the 4.1FE emulation will be more. @thomas, thanks again for the explanations, i had no idea of the limitations we talked about. I spent a lot of time solving them, while they are native to the system. @Toni thanks again for creating the PPC version of winuae |
