For me it is:
X-com: Contra Unknown.


The room reminds me of the boss at the end of the first corridor section of Gryzor/Contra. And the globe reminds me of the geoscape part of UFO/X-com

Next hint: the big circle isn't a globe. What might be interpreted as continents are just reflections of the wall and the two holes beneath because the round object has a mirroring surface on this boxart.

Nope. While that one has a mirroring surface it also represents a globe with continents.
This game only has marbles with mirroring surfaces - they aren't globes and have no continents on them.

In the review by CU Amiga they wrote the game's title wrong. The game received a CU Screen Star.

No, they just misspelled it. Probably because the spelling in the game's title is unusual.
