PCX soundblaster emulation

it seems PCX emulator support soundblaster in DOS emulation
( I just read the documentation)
even there is a cycle gadget to set the volume level of the emulated soundblaster
see the attached pic, according to docs the dac is the volume of the soundblaster


however it doesn't work here in some games which I tried,it seems you need to install some kind of soundblaster drivers in DOS side and/ or set the address/dma numbers correctly


anyone knows here how to make a soundblaster works in PCX ?

My guess: you need a driver, just as you need it with real hardware. And some lines in the autoexec.bat like:

SET SOUND=C:\PROGRA~1\CREATIVE\CTSND
SET BLASTER=A220 I5 D1 H5 P330 E620 T6

It emulated just very basic SB DAC, setting soundblaster variable is enough. OPL sound not emulated.
If I remember well it is BLASTER=A220 I5 D1 T1
Work fine in emulated Windows 3.X, in DOS only few old DOS games work with this digital sound such as Prehistorik 2 and Lands of Lore. Many games simply do not allow setting this very basic soundblaster.

btw, which mouse dos driver you used ? I tried several drivers and mouse still not works in PCX I'm trying in winuae, in PCtask the mouse driver which I have works fine

do you remember which soundblaster driver you used?
