No cheating of any kind (including score leeching) - this includes save states. No continues/passwords allowed. If you suspect anyone of cheating please let us know in private - anyone found guilty will be banned for the entire season.

The following four tracks should be played (in practice mode):

Division 1: The Evilly Episode
Division 2: The Teasing Temper
Division 3: The Witty Way
Division 4: The Crazy Caper

All the times will be added up - the lowest time wins. If you don't play all the tracks then regardless of your total time you will be placed below the players who did play them all.

Remember, anyone can join in at any time. Have fun and feel free to ask any questions you may have.

Life has been getting in the way. I'd like to get a full set of times posted some time late tonight. I managed 1:07 when I was messing around on Crazy Caper before the compo and I can see that's been smashed

Is anyone else finding this game impossible? Going off at every corner and failing at every jump?

I did manage one time in the end

EE: 82.66

EE is the by far the hardest track
Both large jumps you need to be level and doing 200+.
I played the hell out of the original back in the day so havn't had much problem adapting to new tracks.

jPV's crazy times forced me to experiment a lot (ie blasting around the center of the track at full boost is no longer viable).
Overjumping & bouncing around the track will lose time.

So I guess some tips for improving time:
- Get the best start by crossing the line as fast as possible.
- Try to take each corner without getting air & loss of speed.
- Stick to the smoothest part of the track.
- Try to get the best landing off jumps.. land on a decline if possible.

Even more embarrassingly, I think I've got mixed up, I gave up on the hard one with the huge jumps (didn't even manage to make the jump a single time) so I went to the easy track and still struggled, I guess this must be CC instead of EE then.

The witty way eludes me. I don't know how ED and JPV are getting sub 45 second times but my hat goes off to them. Amazing driving.

I admit that I found the tracks of division 2 and 1 of the original SCR impossible at first, back in the day.

With practice, they can be managed too.

Some tips:
-If you are inexperienced, try to steer in corners that way that you see (only) a bit of the inner border.
-Practice with a speed of about 170 first before going to higher speeds (except for EE, which needs more speed at certain positions). But there may be places in the tracks where even that is too much, try to remember them.
-When you have ground contact, the car is steered by the game to follow the track on straights when no joystick steering is given.
