Atari ST cracking scene book on Indiegogo
Might be of interest to some on here :
https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/t...3/x/17489653#/ there won't be much Amiga/C64 content but the rest may be of interest from a nostalgia point of view. As an ST guy I'm still interested in the Amiga cracking scene and have been reading a lot of the old threads on here , loved the "Games that were tough to crack" thread, many similarities to my experience on the ST. |

I'm the opposite way around. I'm an amiga guy with a passing interest in the ST cracking scene. I've purchased all of the microzeit Atari ST demo scene books so far. Its a shame the Amiga scene doesn't have something similar.

Its 1988 again, the Atari boys are getting the First release!! I never knew such books existed, many thanks Cynix for letting us know! Could you direct us in any similar "Games that were tough to crack" threads for the ST please, I would love a read I have wondered about the mid 90`s with Amiga crews dominating the new console scene, also was there a PC `scene` before the Amiga crews turned up and started doing donuts on thier front lawn? |

Great news on a possible Amiga cracking scene book, I'd definitely buy that.

I hope real names are not mentioned, I remember reading the articles about Strider/Fairlight when he ran for office in California

I remember the Cynix SNES stuff, it was pretty decent at the time. Although people *did* indeed have docs (I had a copy, and I couldn't even code at this point) but there was a lot of innovation in terms of people making their own assemblers/toolchains. IPS was a very cool innovation, still used today! If you ever feel like revisiting ST cracking, feel free to head over to www.flashtro.com and write a couple of ST tutorials I made one (bad) attempt, but it would be better to hear how a pro did it... On another note, did you ever meet up with the other Scottish ST sceners like the Fingerbobs guys in Aberdeen? For a while I lived in a flat above the computer shop a couple of them worked in, wondered if we'd ever crossed paths "back in the day"! |

The Atari ST scene will be the heart of the story, but we also take the journey back to the 8-bit era on the C64 and deliver sidekicks to Apple II, Atari XL, Amstrad CPC and Sinclair Spectrum. Also Amiga insiders joined in. Interviews/Informer
