problem storing games on disc

Hiya, not really an amiga problem but.......

I have on my HD round 3.3gb of amiga games, in folders names a to z, all adf are zipped.

When i burn these folders to dvd, then put the dvd back in my comp it the folders appear then when i click on one it takes ages for the folder to open. Sometimes windows justs freezes. Do i need to use a certain file system on the dvd as i want to back up my games. thanks

Do you get quick directory listing if you use command prompt? If yes, problem is some explorer "plugin", like transparent zip support, perhaps even some codec that wants to create nice looking icon for every file etc..

Thanks for the reply toni, under command prompt the dir is loaded instantly, i have installed winzip but dont understand the plug in transparent bit lol do you know how to alter it or change setting for speed increase? thanks

When viewing the contents of your DVD with Windows, try changing the view option from "thumbnails" to something like "list" or "details"...things will happen a lot quicker then
