Kickstart Eproms
Quote:
I would like to update them to KS3.1, I have to correct Eprom Programmer and can get the necessary eproms. I would like to ask about the Licence details, who issues the Licence for new Kickstart ROMs. Is the Amiga Kickstart Code copyright. |

And now to the question you didn't ask. The license fee is probably going to be so large, that getting it to burn a few ROMs is going to be more expensive than have Amigakit or Vesalia burn them for you. |

Hi,
I have had a look at the Cloanto web site and all the legal info' Looks like Amigados is closed source and Kickstart Roms are copyright only available on Amiga Forever Disks to run under Windows??? I guess the answer to my question is to goto Amigakit to get a legal Kickstart rom. Pity the Amiga is still closed source, as there are such potential in the operating system. |

Just thinking out loud. If you owned a copy of AmigaForever, could you burn the roms from that for your own personal use?

Meh, no point in speculating.
1) if you want legal ROMs, buy them from a retailer 2) if you want to burn your own illegal ones, look elsewhere on this sub-forum |

Who gives a rats a$$ if they're genuine or not. No one ever cared if their software was.

One of the reasons I wanted to hold off from buying KS3.1 roms was down to legitimacy. Even though i've modernized a lot (cf/ide & cf/pcmcia etc) wanted to keep the mainboard as legit as possible.
