Unlike last time when we thought Amiga Forever 7 was out and turned out to be a leaked beta changelog from an official EAB moderator, we are pleased to factually announce the high grade integrated Amiga emulator of 'AMIKIT X' is being released today Friday 19th May 2017. Originally developed as a main operating system for A.L.I.C.E. (A Laptop Incorporating Classic Experience), AmiKit has turned into a compilation of more than 350 pre-installed Amiga programs. Afa_os 4.8 -> Anybody know what was changed in compare to 4.7 ? Same with MCP 1.49c what was changed ?

Amikit is a simple mod to install on AmigaOS 3.9.
You need to buy:
Amiga roms
AmigaOS 3.9

or

Amiga Forever.

now you have to buy 3 package (or 2 if you buy amigaforever) to use it on Windows or tablet?
I think many people could be prefere AmigaSYS (this mod is available also on pendrive with linux) ready to be used on any platform that support USB.

but more and important question:
what has this "X" version to justifie this price?

Hi amikit, could you make something like amikit but with macos ???
I mean an esay installation to launch macos games with winuae because mac68k emulators on pc sucks !!!
You could ask to insert the mac roms and os-cd to install the mac os.
Not only mac emulators on pc are bullshit and mac emulators on amiga are difficult to use. Perhaps you could make an amikit which could support mac os too.
should be great : AMIKIT support now mac os 68k !!!
From the video i saw on youtube mac emulation is faster with winuae than with BasiliskII.

If you don't want to pay 30 euro for Amikit you should consider donating a little towards the new version of AmigaSYS, Dary would be grateful of the funds and it would bring the new release a lot faster.
AmigaSYS is my preferred distro of choice and has things that Amikit doesn't, like Amithlon and Linux support.
