Super Cars II version?

Is there different versions of Super Cars II? Or from what part of the game is the info etc. on two rows instead of one as in the supplied image. (Except in two player mode split screen)

These are screens from the demo version that was on coverdisks of the magazins right? What exactly do you mean with 'info on two rows'? I can only see that in the split screen.

Aha.. it's a demo version maybe... Well the left screens are from reviews of the full game. And as you can see the wooden panel differ from the right ones. They have speed etc. on two rows, while in the real game all that are in one row, except in split screen. But the left photos are cleary not from two player mode. I'll try to find a demo version and see if that's what they used.

Ah, I see. Guess it's really a difference between the demo and the full version. The left pictures look like they come from a magazine scan (maybe they had a pre sales version for the test), while the ones on the right side look like screenshots from WinUAE. Where did you get the picture from?

I'm guessing they went for a less cluttered look

Yes, you are correct... It was me who did the picture... so have a clue where I can find the demo version of Super Cars II? I tried AMR but there is not any way to search for cover disk content AFAIK...

the magazine picture has another strange feature; it is a picture of the first easy track (right?) and I see a homing missile there, which would be impossible in the real game.

Like I said they reviewed a press release that got changed in the last moment. The magazines get these versions, so that the test can be printed when the game is released. Very interesting find indeed

Yeah, but that's just wrong... They're not reviewing the thing that's for sale in the stores... I wonder if this version is to be found somewhere...

I totally agree with that it's wrong, but even today you can read things like 'this is going to be fixed when the game is in the stores' in reviews...
However would be cool to see the other version of this game
