I'll follow the leaders and name captive as my choice

Although Dungeon Master and Turrican 2 are also brilliant.

I think it's better to put the best game by category, and then that would be my list for Amiga specific games (when possible exclusive to the Amiga)

Plateform/Action : Gods (even if there are other ports, the Amiga one is the
best)
Action : Turrican II
RPG : Black crypt (for me Dungeon master is better, but Crypt is Amiga exclusive)
Shooter : Apidya

Yay! Another victim to be ridiculed for liking Gods! Welcome to the club Jgames.

Not anymore actually, there is an OpenGL pc version released by the original developer, or so I have read.

Anyway, you already list gods which is far from Amiga exclusive, so please just say DM because Black Crypt is far from being a good RPG, IMO. Technically great, but just plain old boring as a game!

I don't know how this thread made it to two pages without anyone saying.

SENSIBLE WORLD OF SOCCER!

I have stayed up for days playing this game, and I don't even like football! It's affecting my health and relationships! There needs to be an organisation like "SWOS Anonamous" to help people like me.

Although if you're looking for the best two player Amiga game then it'd have to be HIRED GUNS!

now if you'll excuse me I have to go and teach Real Madrid a lesson in humility. Smug Spanish Bastards.

I think its right time for me to intrude

For all of you who post five, ten and more games in a Best Amiga Game (one) thread, go to the thread where lists of at least ten games (up to fifty) are welcomed.

Graham, I am still waiting

You had list of twenty games finished. 19 months, 1,5% interest for each month, it is... it is... 28,5 ... 5,7 = 6, its 26 games! So add six more games!

Both SWOS and Frontier consumed an unhealthy amount of time for me - I think I went 4 months straight playing Frontier when it was released... I had millions of credits, the biggest ship possible, etc!

These days I use the cargo space cheat and keep my little ship... but mod it with 1000 shields etc!

SWOS was the same - playing match after match... One of my best friends at the time was amazing.. He could beat Man U with Darlington (or beat Brazil with the Faroe islands) getting into double figures for numbers of goals he scored! We never could figure out why his strikers continued to lose value though despite scoring hundreds of goals in a season!

I am able to beat Brazil with Iceland in 80 % games (by one or two goals in average) Watch some videos on youtube or read posts on sensiblesoccer.de, they are able to beat Brazil with Faroe Isles by ten goals Your mate is maybe one of those freaks there!

edit - I was, with joystick But still I am able to beat strongest teams with the worst. But the games are tough, I dont know how those guys do it, it looks so easy and it is not

He was most definately a freak

I struggled to win by 2 or 3 goals - and that was after years of practise..
