Big Problems in transfering team 17 games !

Hi, i have a lot of problems in transfering these team 17 games :

Overdrive
Alien Breed 1
Alien Breed 2 OCS
Alien Breed 2 AGA

Overdrive : Tested on a500, Problem when swapping discs...
Hard to describe it in english so forgive me if it's not as understandable as i'd want... After inserting the requested floppy, i press fire and immediatly i can hear 3 tic-tic-tic that somehow "locks" my drive. After this, and even after rebooting one or more times, the a500 can't read anything : to correct the problem and use my drive again, i must insert a disc, wait for the 3 tic-tic-tic and eject the disc. That action "unlocks" the drive. More over, that problem don't appear every time...

Alien Breed 1 : Tested on a500.
I tried all the tosec discs but the game fails AS SOON AS you skip the intro (for the cracked versions) or AS SOON AS the first disc is inserted. My drive seems to loop on the same track with an unpleasant noise.

Alien Breed 2 OCS : Tested on a500, same problem that overdrive that occurs randomly too (but very often unfortunatly).

Alien Breed 2 AGA : Same problem that Alien Breed 1 when the first disc is requested.

Aaaaaaaaargh, these games makes ma crazyyyyyy !!!! So please, help me ! What is wrong with these games ??? Is anyone has or had the same problems ? Which versions of these games should i use to do a transfert THAT WORKS ? Thanks in advance.

Did someone succeed in transfering THEN PLAYING these games ?
Please can someone upload other adfs of these games (if you've got of course) for testing ?

Do you have problems with the mentioned games only?
I own an A1200, i could transfer disks for checking, but need name and crc32 of images, which you have tried.

Yes only problems with these games. My drive "locks" in other (very, very) rare cases but it shoundn't reflect the problem. I will try to give you these informations next week-end. Thanks for your help.

I have just done a quick check, i have transfered the "FLT" crack.
Alien Breed OCS works without any problems on my AGA machine, no problems after inserting disk 2.
Maybe you have transfered a corrupted disk 2 or similar.

A big thank mai for your help ! I'll check tomorow the CRC32 of the disks i transfered and try to transfert these.

I would be soooooo kind (and very helpful) if you could transfert Alien Breed 1, Alien Breed 2 AGA and Overdrive too then tell me if all was ok for you.

Wonderful mai, all these discs are perfectly working on my A1200 !!!

I would really appreciate if you could test Alien Breed 2 AGA and Overdrive.

AT LAST, 15 years later, i can play these two marvellous games without problems !

Even my original of AB1 was capricious : the number of the beast C01570, randomly occured after discs swapping (argh !)...

Thank you so much, i'm waiting your report concerning AB2 AGA and Overdrive.

...but you wrote, that you have problems with this games on your A500!(except Alien Breed 2 AGA)

I tested AB1 and 2 OCS on my A500 and the problems remain the same...
But it doest not matter since they are perfectly working on my A1200.

I will try to transfert AB2 AGA today, thanks a lot mai !

Don't lose your time in transfering Overdrive, i will do that and tell you if all was ok on my A1200. Since the problem is the same than AB2 OCS, i suppose i won't resolve it on my A500... Argh, it's a shame cause i would have had to try the multiplayer game... All of that seem very strange to me...

I'm going to create an unique thread concerning all the problems that i experience, it will be more simple in the future.

AB2 AGA doesn't work, same problem... What program did you use to transfert it mai ? I used ADF Sender Terminal (default config) and high density blank discs...

I have also used HD disks for testing, and it works, i would rather think, there is something wrong with the Floppy drive in his A500.

People have mixed experiences with HD disks.

I for one have had bad experiences with them. I lost all of SWOS saves multiple times due to HD disks.

Only stopped using them after I realised.

I move ADF images via CF-card(PCMCIA Slot) to A1200 and use "TSGUI" to write the ADF images back to floppy.

Your transfert method much faster than the basic solution i use.
Do you think the product "EasyADF PCMCIA Compact Flash Transfer Kit" seen on www.amiga.kit.com is a good choice to buy ?
I don't know TSGUI, is it more powerful than ADF Sender Terminal to backup files ?

I've just tried with a double density disk, same problem...

I never experienced problems with HD disks (i've already transfered several hundreds of ADFs).

I intend to buy an external drive, so i will able to boot from it. We'll see if my internal floppy drive has something wrong. It would be strange since i've only got problems with these games and the problems are the same with AB1 on my A500 and AB2 AGA on my A1200 (exactly the same noise while loading fails that loops forever). I think the probability that my TWO internal drives have a problem is very low. May be "ADF Sender Terminal" can't simply write these files...
