Welp, got my first early 1986 and have never used anything
else... have 3 on at the moment... I'm typing on the A4000
desktop... wifey is on the PPC A4000 tower networked to
an A1200 which hosts a mud...

I have 30 amiga systems all up... and about to buy another
A1200 to reconnect to the 29" TV through GVP genlock...
I happen to have a spare 50mhz 030 and 128 meg mem chip

heh

anyway... I could say I'll go for 30 years but soon I
will make the move to Amiga1 and I intend to buy more
than one of those...

and plan to actually develop somewhere along the line
or at least become a compiling guru...

yip pee!

Actually, it is not a silly question. I just wanted to see how long I will be continuing to repair Amiga computers and if I should continue to stock up on parts. I offer the finest in Amiga refurbishing and repairs in the world, and I can prove it. You will always be able to "get it fixed" if you are willing to send your Amiga to my shop. I will repair it and ship it back to you.

Well, there is at least one good thing that I can say about Akira, he does plan to keep his Amiga for 30+ years. He may even start to grow on me. Just imagine it, Akira and me as friends.

Unfortunately my A1200 died a death a good ffour or five years ago, so I've been emulating ever since, as aside from getting that "real Amiga feel" I don't see the need to use one (I use a PC for all of my work-processing/graphic design/web design stuff as a lot of the standards I require aren't available via an Amiga).

I do intend to continue emulating Amigas for as long as is possible, though. The Amiga is dead, but its memory shall live on...

NEVER sell your first computer... that's a rule... you found that the hard way, too bad
I still have my 386sx, and I am very happy! I never considered selling it, too... and I could use the cash back then...

I agre. I almost sell mine but I denied in the last minute, and never regretted it since. It still works today after a few transplants. It's a C128.
