BSDSocket.library error with version 1.5+

I have had issues with connecting to the network with Version 1.5+. Version 1.4.6 works fine and I have used the same config and a clean one created from scratch in v 1.5.
Has any one else seen this? It only seems to happen on my PC at home. My work PC (through firewall) works and so does my laptop. Could there be an issue with my network card or it's driver?

I have tried turning the WinXP firewall off too.

Thanks

What are "connection issues"?

- Does ping work? Try pinging your router ip first. (and confirm it works on PC-side) Get ping from amitcp or miami or other tcp stack package if you don't have it.
- Does it work if you use numeric IP addresses instead of domain names? (perhaps it is DNS problem)
- Anything interesting in winuaelog.txt?

YAM 2.5 reports:
Couldn't open bsdsocket.library interface
required for TCP/IP connections.

Please make sure that you have a compatible
and correctly configured TCP/IP stack installed,
and that your network interface is up and
running.

Bsdsocket gets enabled but it disappears during following resets..

Does it work if you enable 4M or 8M chip RAM (and disable normal fast). Maybe it is related to uae-configuration issues..

If above this does not help, could you test 1.5.0 betas and find last working version? (URLs in 1.5.0 beta thread are still valid)

I tried various memory configs with no luck
I tried another virgin config (built in configuration window) with no luck
I went through the betas and it was B21 that failed to connect to network (same BSDSocket faults)
B20 works fine on internet (the winuae clip program faults)

Does it work if you disable this? (Your config is weird, A4000 ROM but A3000-only feature enabled..)

Set "Chipset extra" in chipset panel to A4000.

Sorry I disappeared (Work ate me)
The bsdsocket works fine with 5.2beta3 works fine! I look forward to the final update. Let me know if there is something I can test.

THANK YOU.

I am a SW writer and engineer and I a bit curious on what might of thrown things off
do you have more than:
"if uae rom is moved and/or other extra residents enabled"

This kind of two way with developers it what made me an Amigan.

Also after writing code and developing BSPs for VXworks, PC and other OSs I want to go back to the Amiga. I remember making a presentation (1991 or so) to a graduate level class on OS and Computer architecture about the Amiga and saw all of the jaws of the class (and the professor) hit the floor on what the Amiga could do and how it was put together. FinalCalc on WinUAE is faster than Excel !?!!
