I hear you I can go through the list after dinner and link up the uncertain ones.
I’ll create the reverse search as well so we can search on eab forum names as well. |

All people highlighted in red have now been disabled
...now to start on the changes for people highlighted in yellow, but will ignore anyone with characters that are not "A-Z" / "0-9" e.g. underscores. Edit: been out for a bit and on second thought, let's leave the people highlighted in yellow as is... it's just case-sensitive names and we know what EAB account you correspond to so there's no issue. I've gone through your excellent excel file and connected all the "old" FTP accounts to their real EAB Forum member names.
If you are not deleted now because you were in red, you're safe =) If you log on to https://www.grandis.nu:444/eabuser , verify that the "EAB Forum name:" field is correct (should be). |

Thanks =)
New function. https://www.grandis.nu:444/eabuser now also shows if you have an Upload directory or not. If you do, you see how big it is and the date/time of the latest file contained within (Should be when you last uploaded something, more or less). Tomorrow I am back to work (been sick last week), so expect slowdown on changes =) |

Anyway, you've made enough great changes lately that any member / eabadmin can then use to achieve exactly what they want (with details) ...nothing more required for now; stand down soldier |

I did one final change for eabadmins. Looking up a deleted/disabled user gives you the option to purge the user permanently. This will totally delete the user (And open the option for them to register using the same name again...). It will not delete their upload directory, if exists, though. |

great work Turran
if you zip each category of TOSEC, C64 and the other computers, should do the trick with sync, or run a sync after a tosec update? A good idea would also be to sort out ppl's uploads as there are lots of doublet stuff... Last edited by tomse; 20 November 2017 at 21:06. |

As for sorting the uploads folders and/or cleaning the FTP up... yeah, I don't think I'll touch that =) |

only thing I did was compare it against tosec. It would potentially reduce sync/downloads. (yes I download users folders as well, as there are plenty of goodies to add to tosec :-) ) |

I did volunteer to undertake this massive task many moons ago... even came up with a semi-viable plan, see post #1280. The problem is that I have enough on my plate in regards to administration of EAB, associated resources etc... |

I just did a small test above.
but I can come up with a procedure for you if you want. The work needing to be done, should be locally, or with a very high speed internet connection, with the vast amount of data that is stored there. but I'll gladly help as much as possible. |

I'm running a dupecheck on the TOSEC C64 folder and the ~Uploads folder. See if it works. If not, yes, I'd love to see what you can come up with, but I'll get back with the results first.

Some more cleanup and enhancements done. No need to use port 81 or 444 any more. Just http://grandis.nu/eab will give you everything needed.

Unfortunately I can not access FTP storage.
"You need to have at least 100 valid posts on the EAB forums to be eligible for an EAB FTP account." I read the forum every day, but I really do say a little about it |

Yeah, you were one of the accounts I disabled unfortunately as you only had 1 post to your name at the time...
See post #1751 for details. You do have numerous options available though, see the first post of this thread |
