Always nice to see new game on the Amiga at first I though it was about the Infogrames game which I use to play a lot.
You need hardware scroll |

Thanks for comment. But the problem is that I use only os firendly way in this version game. I have plans to make raw pal version - you know asm + registers - and I did initial steps ( screen ) but it's future. So If you know any good os firendly way to scroll inside window then tell me. In my approach I just copy level bitmap ( some part of course ) into window bitmap. Furthermore on youtube video I uses slowest machine to show that is possible make non trivial os game . In this version of game there will be possibility to play in full screen mode ( with choosing screen mode of course ) but first I want to finish some unfinished parts like title ( some parts are done ), outro, gameover (done), handling different colors on diff levels, editor.

Check ScrollRaster() and ScrollVPort() graphics library functions. I think that the first use the blitter and the second the copper. So the later should be faster but it depends of the size of the area to move, if small then blitter could be enough.

Thanks for answer. Perhaps I didn't mentioned that scroll area is smaller then window I don't catch the usage of ScrollVPort on WB screen, when I want to scroll some smaller area inside the window For me ScrollRaster is useless, becasue I must redraw damaged regions (and is slow because is so general ). I used raw copy from level bitmap into game window area. Regards asman |

They should not make any problems if you tell them that Bobbo will be free game. I always thought Janusz Pelc was friendly guy.

I can't see how they can claim there are problems with copyright for a clone, with a different name and graphics? If that was always the case there wouldn't be many games about at all...
