a2091 doesn't appear in SysInfo nor does its 2mb memory...

It's sporting the 6.1 ROMs on an A2000 with the 3.1 kickstart ROMs. Other cards appear in SysInfo so I think the computer's working correctly.

I've tried a bunch of noob diagnostics to no avail. Any ideas?

Which version of SysInfo?

What's the output of ShowConfig (located in Tools drawer)?

Have you changed anything regarding the memory on this?

The reason I ask is that I have been fighting with an A2052 memory card recently which showed the same symptoms, it wouldn't be picked up by autoconfig and anything downstream of it in the Zorro bus wasn't detected either (including an A2091 card)

What had happened was that half the memory chips on this card were fried so I had removed them all, replaced them with DIL sockets and chucked new chips in only to have this problem. it turns out that a couple of the address lines had become shorted to each other while soldering in the new sockets and this caused Autoconfig to fail on the card. Once the short was removed the cards were detected properly (Still having memory issues but that's another fight)

I would recommend to test for shorts on pins 7-9 and 11-15 on the memory chips.

You can find the schematic for the A2091 here if you need it:

I popped the memory out and set the jumpers to 0MB. Nothing.

I just bought an Amiga GVP A2000-HC+8 on eBay (thx greatstufffromthe215!) and everything was recognized on the first try.

I think I have, believe it or not: bad A2000, A2091, and A2058 boards. IIRC they came from the same machine. Someone must have plugged that system into an arc welder.

Thanks for the suggestions

I know hte feeling, I got a dead A2000 with a dead A2052 board and a dead Golem SCSI card.
I got hte A2000 working (new RAM chips and PSU) swapped the GOLEM for an A2091 and replaced withe A2052 with an A2058 only to find that had bad memory chips on it as well.

You might need newer ROMs. There’s a minimum version required for Kickstart 2 or higher and 6.1 might be too low (can’t recall what the cutoff is).

If you can please upload a screenshot from SysInfo=>Boards.
