Got an e-mail from Amazon (US) last night that my preorder was cancelled and that the product will not be available. :/

Brian posted this on twitter:
@BrianBagnall1: @krutten @primalnacl Sorry it really is cancelled. I plan on returning to it someday when things are working out better. I'm very disappointed!!! |

A real pity. Hope he does return to it soon. Maybe the financial crisis got to him, too...

The Book Depository has pushed the date forward to November 30th (this year). Wouldn't hold my breath though.

It would be nice if he notified it in some other way than via Twitter.. then again, I think it suits his style since there's not been much information about the book anyway. Communication is definitely not his or his publisher's strength.

Yes, same here.
Any information about Petro Tyschtschenko's upcoming book (Amiga and Commodore my life)? He mentioned it in his open letter for the Saku 2013 event. Last edited by ShK; 19 February 2014 at 09:56. |

Same here, I'll buy Petro's book for sure - I reckon a European perspective on the Amiga years would be quite interesting.

This would make an excellent Kickstarter project.

Check out Brian Bagnalls Twitter conversation with Lance Taylor on the 21st February.
They are not the words of a man who's ever going to bother releasing the book, nor can he be arsed to even explain why. I am dissapoint. Was looking forward to it. I'm not sure I would even buy it now considering the terse way the author responds to his fans. |

The style is too short for me. A perfectly reasonable question is asked, and "Nowhere!" is the answer.
Okay, but it doesn't explain much, nor give us any idea about what the stage the book is at and the probabilities of publishing. If I was writing the book, my comms with my potential buyers would be much better. |

Book: Commodore The Amiga Years
I agree he needs to provide us his customers a better explanation than he has to date.
