I think i'd prefer to have the real machine in front of me instead of a clone.

As long as there is nothing official there is nothing. Amiga-World is full of "I am not allowed to say" or "I know someone who told me" that never became reality...

Yes I know that in Amiga scene people are sick when see something like "I m now allowed to say" but if you followed my posts last years you would be able to see how much problems i had with some people just publishing something they wanted to keep secret. So let me say this Natami project is not dead it is alive more than ever and if I get permission to say more I will.

I was "Team-Member" a long time ago so I know what happened. I would not be interested in "Natami" (or however it would be called) even if Thomas H. would finally bring something out. And he is not the only one who is working on a core anyway.

I'm personally not interested in a HW clone anymore, but I'd like to see if it'll finally be finished and more important what it will be then. Over the years the so called team members and supporters didn't miss a chance to promise the jack of all trades device for Amiga fans.

Still would be interesting to know if some people just reuse the name (my guess) or if Thomas picked it up again.

So do I, but reverse engineering the original chipsets so that new chips can be made would be nice.

There are no "realists," just people who won't admit which of the other choices they are.
To be a realist, you'd have to be right all the time. ;-)

i have a big interest in this kind of little computer !!!!
If they can make it available with the keyboard in a simple box like tha amiga 1200 was, i will consider it like a real amiga.
We have to support this kind of project it could lead to new amiga which keep the amiga soul and spirit.
But please not in a plexi box.

If I remember correctly, Natami has an A500 keyboard connector, so it is a prime candidate for replacing the insides of a broken A500

I'm sure it's only two more weeks until I can buy one and check if my A500 works as a keyboard for it

Oh... you got me

All the best to the project, but I personally will wait for any real proof that there's any progress

It's a wonder that anyone bothers to make anything Amiga related these days.
SO many "knockers" seem to come out of the woodwork to tear a project to shreds.

I'm surprised Jens didn't depart for greener shores after the bollocking he received for not open-sourcing the accelerator designs he paid *good* money for.

This is likely a hobby for most of you, it is for me.
Sometimes, life/shit happens and projects can run way over time.

I'm not sure what the delay is in getting the Natami to market, or indeed if it will ever be released?
However, those involved in the project deserve your enthusiasm and encouragement for getting as far as the have, not your scorn and derision.

Give it a rest.
