LHA - How to keep the date?

Hi everybody!

Today I have a problem that would sounds crazy for some peoples...

I wanna decrunch a LHA archive so that the date of the folders is the same like in archive.

But everytime I try I only get the date from today at the folders. What could I do to get the same date like the folders in archive have?

Thanks in advance

Cheers Josh

Ask the author of LhA to add this function. Currently, when files are unpacked into a directory, the file system updates the directory's date. This is not LhA's fault, the file system does this automatically. LhA has to change the date back when all files in this directory have been unpacked. There is nothing you can do about it.

The shell executable should keep filedates:

LhA -x (filename)

Or any programs that uses the shell executable - like Dopus ArcExt button in the ClassicWB.

If you're using a program like VoodooX that uses an external library, it loses the original filedates.

Does it mean, if I repack it to LZX or so there could be a small chance to get the right date?

This won't give you the original dates, but it will set them to the latest file in that dir.
