I also have found that adripsx works GREAT the plugins for eSPSXe also work on this emulator too.
Personally I find it better to use than CVGS. There is a great link to tools for Playstation Emulators and such. I have listed it below hope it helps some people. (plus the P4 fix) for CVGS is on there http://www.aldostools.com/index2.html |

www.psxemu.com also has a listing of ps emu stuff.
And with ePSXe, and most others, as was pointed out before, you really need to fiddle with the settings to get the best. There was a utility to allow you to switch between saved combinations which you thought worked best for some games. |

@Akira.
LOL! Akira, we need you to do an emulator roundup-review all the latest/"rated" emu's for C64,Amiga,SNES,Megadrive,PSX,N64 etc. With your "objective insights", I think it'd be VERY interesting reading of your results!! "Deletes ePSXe directory" starting off your first review!! |

Mwahahaha
Hey, I dont automatically hate emus, but when I have the real thing, I preffer it over the emulation. But this ePSXE thing really got into my nerves. Change a setting, restart emulator. Sneeze, restart emulation... t-h-i-s-i-s-h-o-w-i-t-s-o-u-n-d-s-t-o-o-o-krrrshhh. And what's the deal with the lame MS-DOS box debug console? WinUAE and CCS64 happen to be my TOP rated emulators. They are great, and when I cant turn on the machines, I turn those on instead. Same cannot be said of the other emus. Another case of me turning into emulators is when I can't transfer the games to my real machine (I dont have a Sega Genesis dev unit, for example), or when I need to test I want to buy. Emus are great try before buy utilities. |

LOL @ this thread.
EMU VS Real Hardware Before I bought a HardSID (www.hardsid.com) I was a emulation fanatic. After I bought and listened to my HardSID I realised that real hardware is the way to go for perfect replica of the things you want Although there is a place and time for emus and roms, *looks at 40+ CDR with roms* |

And yet you managed to get hold of a HHD for a C64. I didn't even know those existed.
