Athropy / Enigma
I know I asked this years before, but since AGTW is running, maybe there are some bigger chances to uncover this gem
ENIGMA was a groundbreaking shoot em up developed by some guys in LSD. The game was announced by OTM in 1996. And as I know completely finished in summer. I have some breathtaking screenshots in some of my last AMIGA JOKERS. Bud sadly no camera. But I could ask a friend, and hand in the images the next weekend. The coder had found some unknown features of the AGA chiposet, that make this game a milestone. There must be a maybe 100 % complete version somewhere. Maybe the publisher OTM got bankrupt ? It was first called ENIGMA and short before it`was released renamed in ATHROPY. (Or maybe ENTROPY ?) I think Galahad was in contact with the coder some years ago ? You need to contact 2-Cool/LSD, his name is Trevor, he is the coder of Atrophy.
When I was doing Premier Manager 3 Deluxe for Gremlin, he was doing Atrophy and we had some conversations about it, because one of the guys at Gremlin were keen to do some last releases for Amiga before they pulled out all together. Trevor claimed that he found undocumented features of the AGA chipset, but the problem was that not all A12oo's had these mysterious features. Trevor was certainly a good coder, how true any of his claims are, I really don't know. I don't have any contact details for him, but at least you have a name to start with. |

Shame. Looked and sounded like it would be a great shoot-em-up. Anyway, for those interested, I've overhauled the HOL entry for Enigma/Atrophy to include all the snazzy screenshots of the game that exist and recount the story of its non-release: http://hol.abime.net/4441 |

Good old Atrophy hey!. I waited for this game like you would not believe back then after hearing the blurb about it and some screenshots, and i was EXTREMELY dissapointed when it was canned.

Is he into Japanese cars?
There's a Trevor Mensah mentioned at some sites with them. Here's a forum user page with birth date (but outdated link): http://www.skylineowners.com/forum/member.php?u=412 And here's a recent one: http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/p...memberId=74177 Other than that there's a patent co-invented by a Trevor Mensah, that could be a starting point for further investigations: http://www.freepatentsonline.com/20050177837.html |

Did some further research.
It seems Enigma and Atrophy are different but similiar games. Atrophy was coded by Intersect Development while Enigma was done by Centillion who were founded by an ex-Intersect member. See here: http://groups.google.com/group/comp....4b676444d0fc13 (third last post). And for Atrophy there's a Frank Tout mentioned with Trevor Mensah by OTM here: http://groups.google.com/group/comp....541f5ef8d04e67 |

Frank Tout is The Art/LSD, see here: http://amp.dascene.net/detail.php?view=7384
There's a two year old forum post by him (at least the email address looks like that): http://www.comicscommunity.com/board...&expand=1#4597 (fourth post). Hope this helps |
