Video Toaster 4000 for Amiga 2000 questions

I have an A2000 with GVP 68030 accelerator and 16 mb of RAM which came originally with a Video Toaster card which wasn't present when I got it on a garage sale 12 years ago. The way I know this was a Video Roster is because it already have the VT 4.1 Software already installed.

I managed to get hold of a Video Toaster 4000 which I put in the Video port after making sure all the jumpers were set for the A2000/A3000 location. However I am not sure if it is working properly. I get some volume error when I try to start the Software. Is there an easy way to find out if the card is working? It seems this card will not show in the autoconfig.

Do I have to reinstall the software in order to test if it works? Also the limitation of the VT4K on the A2000 is it because of the AGA/ CPU speed or because of the Zorro ii vs Zorro iii slot.

Thanks

the toaster does not use autoconfig - so not listed, is ok.
did you had a look into the manuals - may help somehow.
what i remember, you have to make some Auto Hue config/calibrate, once, after installing the hardware. there is some tool included (Auto Hue) or something.
you need a compatible video source connected, to do this.
but the manual should explain better - or someone here aboard.

#1) do you have an NTSC amiga? i think this is essential.

Been a while since I worked with my Toaster system, but I think Toaster 4.x is intended for use with the Flyer - that could be the volume error you're getting. I think 3.5 was the last release for the stand-alone Toaster.

Early versions of 4.x may have required a Flyer but later versions were also released for Toaster only.
