Screen Interference When Using Blizzard 1230-IV

I just bought a "new" A1200 motherboard to replace my old one which sadly gave up just before Xmas.

Everything's fine, but when I add my Blizzard 1230, I get a slight horizontal banding on the screen whenever I click and drag the mouse. This doesn't happen when the Blizzard is removed. (It didn't happen on the old motherboard, either.)

Any ideas what might be causing this to happen? It's not that bad really, and when I'm running a game you can't really notice it, but I'd like to know if there's something simple I can do to fix it.

Thanks!

Sorry to ask the obvious...

Have you fine-tuned your TV to compensate for the new motherboard?

It's hooked up via composite, so I don't think that could be a problem. Also, it doesn't happen when the Blizzard is disabled or removed. It's good to double check the obvious though.

it seems that's a problem of low capacitance of the 5V line of your new motherboard...you can try replacing the 2 caps that raise the 5v line
(the 2 big caps on the motherboard) 1000uf x10 v

also it can be a low capacitance of the small capacitor located near the modulator....it is rated 470uf 16v....
this capacitor is for the composite video,if that capacitor is old and bad (low capacitance) you will get some kind of interference...replace it

btw, I can post a pic if you can't locate them

OK, cool. I'll replace the caps. I'll have a look at the board when I get home and see what's what. I'll check back here to make sure I'm ordering the right parts later.

Thanks!
