Roll eyes (sarcastic) What do you think of the Squirrel SCSI? should I sell it or keep it?

I have a Squirrel SCSI and an external SCSI case with a Pionneer CDROM, but since I could use some euros, I am thinking of selling it... never used it, I have no idea how good/bad is it... What do you think? (having in mind my Amiga specs...) Not that I am desperate for money.... U get the meaning!

I had a Squirrel for my A1200, it's a nice interface as long as you don't mind losing the use of the PCMCIA port. Quite easy to set up too.

I love it. It's an excellent addition to a desktop Amiga. If you sell it, I may have some friends that may be interested...

Yah laugh your arse! but it was cheap and an excellent, reliable drive, an Apple CD150:

I could replace the drive inside with another one, but it's cute! The one in ths picture had the internal drive replaced, mine is the original Apple delivered drive

I have a spare CD caddy - if you want it, yours for the postage.

I have one of these, it worked very well with my 2x CD-ROM drive and SCSI Zip 100. With the Zip 100, it would treat them just like a hard drive, you could even partition them like a hard drive. I made a floppy that would allow me to boot right to the Zip drive too - really cool because I could have a seperate disk for apps, one for games, etc ...

Squirrels were great, the first easy way to having a CD-Rom on an A1200, but the PCMCIA bit bottlenecks it so much that faster drives become pretty pointless. But at least it was a proper SCSI solution rather IDE. I had all sorts of crap chained off the end of my Squirrel many years ago, totally reliable and easy to get working. I wouldn't recommend them if you tower your Amiga though, because then you have to have one of those iffy right angle PCMCIA adapters and it can get flaky then.
I don’t use mine at all now but I can't bring myself to sell it, because "You never know....." Mind that goes for most of my Amiga hardware, that's why I've got so much old crap laying about the place!
