Simultaneous 2-player games

Hey,

Got a friend coming over at the weekend who enjoys old games. What are people's favorite simultaneous 2-player Amiga games?

We've played Alien Breed before. That was a laugh, but too friggin' hard for my taste (waiting for action replay 3 in the ACA500plus to be fixed before I try that one again).

I reckon pang two player would be fun.

What else?

(Someone is going to say sensible soccer. Not really my sort of thing.)

Two player games I played a lot: indy Heat, North & South, Hero Quest, Super Twintris and Chaos Engine.

Two player games I've wasted lots of time on:

- Lotus II
- The Chaos Engine (try level code: F180K541R8K4 - starts you at world two but with enough cash to buy tons of lives etc)
- Parasol Stars
- Knights (excellent fun with zombie activity ramped to full in a huge dungeon)
- Brutal Homicide (possibly not that well known, but also amazing fun )
- Mortal Kombat II
- Tritus (up to three player competitive tetris - great fun too)
- Blitzbombers!

Oh yeah, this was lots of fun too, but haven't played it in ages.

Wasn't there some follow-up for it too, but I don't know the reason I haven't played it.. maybe it lost some appeal

F1GP - fun in the alternating 2 player mode and completely awesome with 2 Amigas and a serial cable.

There's lots more but have to add some more votes for anything by Magnetic Fields. Alien Breed '92 SE was my favourite of that series - I think they got the difficulty level right with that one.

I had a quick play around with knights. Looks like exactly what we are after.

I need to figure out how to use all the weapons. The one that looks like a crossbow, and the one that looks like a dagger, not worked those out yet. Will hit the manual tomorrow

Ha, yes, I remember that well. Majestically working your way up the field only to find that the computer's smashed up your car and you're back in 15th!
