The %userprofile% will have to do I guess (well %userprofile%\my documents\c64 saves)
Shame there isn't a %mydocuments% (guess that ones for Windows Vista). Going to be good fun when I get home! |

sarek2k, good news. I don't need you to do the PS2 controller settings anymore.
The reason why is that I should be able to created them using my Xbox controllers. The only difference between the two is the buttons assigned (see attached image from Snes9x) Many thanks for your kind offer though |

Hey Sarek
As you are the resident graphics type dude around I don't suppose you have some C64 frontends for use with an Autoplay? |

A few things though: ... Instead of having the title "SNES DVD MENU" can you change this to "DAMIEND'S SNES DVD"? ... You only really need one button that says Run Setup (as everything is done from my setup.exe file). I guess you could have the Read-Me button but just need to think about what it contains... Maybe some credits and that this is not for sale. Quote:

Phew... Tonight after 4 solid hours of coding / testing my batch file, the final SETUP.EXE is complete
However, I will test everything again once I burn all files to DVD. Should run as planned but you never know... The file is now 44KB and pretty crazy Phew, again... Last thing left to do is create the 20 different sets of zsnesw.cfg + zguicfgw.dat and then burn away... Last edited by DamienD; 25 April 2006 at 18:59. |

You can have what ever you want m8 it's all editable can have as many or as little buttons as you want / size (screen res) it's all configureable because it's
vector based. Of course the work in Autoplay would be done on the image AFTER it's done if you know what i mean by using hotspots like you would in any html editor. The only thing that isn't is the Snes console it's self it was hard to find a picture of a snes that good i must also credit the site i got the picture from which i cut out http://www.homecomputermuseum.de/cgi-bin/forum/start.pl i don't know if they allow use of their images but since i can't read german i don't know. Really i am waiting on you for final input when you feel the DVD is complete then we can all work on the front end together and maybe the same for Macca's C64 dvd too. Also i'd like to put in it somewhere that it is not to be sold on Ebay including using their logo since they allow everyone else's logos to be used on their site and for unscrupulous sellers to make money from others hard work! Ebay has long caused problems for creative people round here perhaps it's time we had some pay back! Sorry about the little Ebay rant lol |

I must admit I've very impressed at the artwork - I suck at any design - lol
My compilation is not being sold anywhere - period. It's going to be sent to people who want in on this board - the PDF's from Zzap 64 have been protected so no one can edit them and I'll do my best to see it doesn't get ripped to shreds. I may upload it somewhere to give people who want it a good download but as it's up to 4GB at the moment and I think the maximum I can find on uploads is 500MB then wait 12hours I may have problems so it may become a torrent. Anyhow that's for the future back to making PDF's.... |

Help!!!
At the moment I'm just doing all the 20 different sets of zsnesw.cfg + zguicfgw.dat to finalise everything before the massive last testing session
I've run into a small issue though... The joypad mapping in Zsnes isn't as simple as with Snes9x in terms of what's displayed. Take a look at the 2 Xbox joypad mappings I've done (which are attached). Looks like I'm going to need a hand sarek2k as I have no idea what the equivalents of Snes9x buttons are in Zsnes buttons (well I can work out most of them except for 2 but want to absolutely positive). It's pretty obvious but here's the buttons I would have mapped in Snes9x for a PS2 joypad: ... SNES Y = PS2 square ... SNES X = PS2 triangle ... SNES B = PS2 X ... SNES A = PS2 O ... SNES Start = PS2 Start ... SNES Select = PS2 Select The only ones I cannot remember are: ... SNES L = PS2 L1 or PS2 L2 ... SNES R = PS2 R1 or PS2 R2 Here's what I need you to do for me: ... Run Snes9x with both your controllers plugged in and test to see what I mapped SNES L + SNES R to (I think it was L2 + R2). ... Run Zsnes and do a full joypad mapping of each controller corresponding to the Snes9x layout, take print screens and then post them here. Once I know this information I *should* be able to replicated it using my Xbox controllers. I hope this is not asking too much. Many thanks in advance |

Hmmm, that should be ok my friend as there is a pattern i.e. increments of 20 for each player:
Player 1: J03 J11 J02 J10 J01 J13 J00 J12 J18 J1A J19 J1B Player 2: J23 J31 J22 J30 J21 J33 J20 J32 J38 J3A J39 J3B If you just grab Player 1 I should be able to work out the rest |
