One would start by rendering the first scene to serve as Background, and keeping Camera and Lights information intact, you unload everything else while loading and placing the next 'layer' of ships, and so on... |

I've started using deluxe video to stitch animations together with sound, it does allow for multiple timelines/events but I don't know if it will take alpha channels to multi-layer things After FX-style. I'm only starting out on that one.

Sorry Maudib, was slow to check the thread again - yes, it's from EA, a 'sister program' to Deluxe Paint, you can even load Dpaint animations into it as video and sync them to sound, although the last time I did it my Dpaint anim had palette cycling which Deluxe Video doesn't support, so the colours went a bit crazy...

My vote would be Amigaraytracers.net/.org, it's enough to say what the site is while keeping it short and simple.

Hello guys, greetings from California. I hope is not a problem to revive a thread that was active a few months ago... new guy here.
I am trying to get back into doing 3d stuff. My A 3000 wont boot anymore so I am trying to get a Raspberry Pi going, which is becoming a GREAT learning experience. Once I get it going I hope to get some cool 3d work going. I went through all the message son this thread and it is really cool to find people that share my same interests. I hope to be able to contribute in some way soon. :-) At one time I was an advanced 3d user, I am hoping to get to just 'functional' for now. |

Hi Feo,
Welcome back to the Amiga 3D world! There are a lot of talented people in electronics to help you revive your Amiga, if you 're up to it. RPi is also a great platform to run an Amiga emulation. Read about Amiberry, if you haven't stumbled upon it yet. Feel free to ask and share your experiences! Last, I would like to point you and all here that I am *almost* done with launching a new forum I had mentioned before, dedicated to Amiga Raytracing called Amigaraytracers.com. There we will be sharing resources, tutorials and collaborating projects. Please feel free to check it out Again, welcome back! muadib Amiga Raytracing Society Last edited by Muadib; 20 February 2019 at 10:07. |

Wellcome Feo
I know it was probably interesting to read all the thread, but it is even more interesting when you try and play with Lightwave 3D (or whatever app you choose). I have no time to play last few months, but will try to be back as soon as possible. Muadib was always of great help, and I don't know person more experienced (and with better results) in 3D on Amiga. We are lucky to have him here. But, you should always try to beat him with the quality of your renders. I sure tried (and still breathing dust from the ground), but I won't give up! |

@D4rk3lf Thanks man, but I am not that good... And I 'm lucky that you all are here, otherwise I would have given up, I guess!
It 's all about practice, really. Only though it you start get the feel of it. And working on the Amiga really helps! The greatest creativity machine ever! muadib Amiga Raytracing Society |

FYI, another interesting link for Lightwave and all collected plug-ins:
http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=67624 BTW, I mentioned pgovotsos and emufan for their contributions at Amiga Ireland 2019 where I talked about pgovotsos's digitization efforts as well as emufan's plugin collection efforts. You can watch it here (at around 3:29:00): [ Show youtube player ] |
