DVD1 contains IPF images,

DVD6 contains kickstart roms and WB images.

Correct me if I'm wrong but, you're not legally allowed to distribute these images.

An IPF image is an exact replica, copy protection and all, of a disk.

Used to be made by the Caps team, now known as the SPS team.

The other DVD's should be ok to share I guess, you may need to ask a Mod on this.

Okay, thanks for the input

I'll await a Mod to see what to do, but with the upload speed it's gonna take a week or so

As far as I can see only disc 2 would be 'legal', as all the others contain commercial games (some of which might be 'still supported/for sale').

DVD2 (4392MB)
AMIX Files (9 disks)
Demos - Animations and Videos (540 disks)
Demos - DMS (291 disks)
Demos - EXE (1057 disks)
Demos - Music (1992 disks)
Demos - Packs (2147 disks)
Demos - Slideshows (692 disks)
Demos (#-L) (1605 disks)

there's no real point in uploading this, it can be easy found online if you know your sources.
also tosec is the way to go.

As long as no Mod. have responded to this, I'm not going to upload anything and if upload speed is still limited to less than 1 Mb/s it wont happen. I'm sitting on a 50/50 Mbit connection.

@ Kitty: Some ppl don't have these sources.

IIRC those DVDs contain an older TOSEC set with some additions. Most (if not all) of it is already on the file server, so there would only be a point in uploading a complete ISO (or similar) image of it which isn't possible because of the copyrighted files.

So thanks for the offer I.Did, but I think it's better (if you have the time) to check if there are any rare gems on them (which I doubt) and just upload those.

Oh man... me and my BIG mouth. Sure I got those DVD's, but I'm not going to run through them all as I really don't know whats the definition of a rare games is, BUT I'll add the file list again, in that way ppl can decide for them self what they want/need.

Can something be done to the upload speed of the file server ?

(File list in first post)

Yeah man it's irritating to see that you want to share stuff and you are received with negative views like "there's no point in you doing this".

Perhaps you can try and host the stuff somewhere else.

@ Kitty:

Please mind you that I'm new to all this. Had a look @ TOSEC and they don't offer any software.... http://www.tosecdev.org/index.php/fa...i-get-the-roms but it is not very difficult to tell that they have 3.28 Tb data http://www.tosecdev.org/index.php/the-project I just wonder what that could be

Maybe I'm wrong, but we talk about uploading to the EAB file server here? Because there's certainly no point to have the same stuff over and over again. I know those 'all in one' things are neat, but tbh there's no point to have a vastly outdated TOSEC set again... just my 2 cents anyway.

TOSEC itself only hosts the DAT files... long story. Just download the latest TOSEC sets from Pleasuredome.

Sure TheCyberDruid, we are talking about EAB's server. I've been looking on the server, but couldn't find them and thought to myself, well I have them, wondering if anyone on EAB also want their dirty hands on them as well

But we just leave it here - as you said they are somewhere on the server

They are

Just an example to give people an idea why I say there's no point
1869 - History Experience Part I (1993)(Flair)(AGA)[cr FLT](Disk 1 of 4)(A).zip
is on the 4th DVD and in 'Commodore_Amiga/TOSEC/Games/[ADF]/0' on the file server (with a slightly updated name). The whole collection consists of an old TOSEC set, but I'll have a look and check if there's anything interesting lurking there
