Tusker walkthrough

Has anyone managed to complete the Amiga version of Tusker? I've just started playing and already hopelessly stuck on Level 2 (the cannibal village). I searched the net for a walkthrough but I only found for the C-64 version, which is completely different.

Could anyone provide me with some hints?

Yes, I found them... but these doesn't contain the solution to the levels. (Even the walkthrough which I found on an Amiga site is about the C-64 version!)

you must play the original version, because the one in TOSEC have an error that prevents you to complete the game.

I'm currently playing the uncracked, 2-disk version but I don't have a clue about how could I complete Level 2. I entered the inner village, found the lying man, but I don't have the medicine bottle which is needed in the C-64 version. I could give him the pocket watch instead, my score increased, but nothing else happened.

Tusker - Stuck on level two!

First off let me say I am playing using original disks, so it's not a crack issue.

I have been try to complete this game, but I am stuck on level 2. I managed to get all 4 keys and open the 2nd to last cave which I assume if the exit, but cannot go through it.

My assumption is that I need vanquish the guy in the 2nd hut, but the weapons have little effect on him and by the time the energy of the magic stick runs out I barely made a dent in he life meter. As soon as the magic stick is used up he hits me and the game ends (no matter how many lives I have)

Anyone have any ideas? Below is what I have as a walk through for level 2 so far.

1. Go Left, Kill enemies, and pick up the stick next to the man-eating plant
2. Go Left, Kill enemies, enter hut. Pick-up up the magic stick, key, and ammo
3. Exit the hut and go right 3 times
4. Kill the first guy with the gun, then press J to activate the Magic
Stick and kill the 2nd.
5. Press 'C' or 'A' to disable the magic stick. Do Not Go In the hut
6. Go right until you can't go any further.
7. Position yourself in front of the cave door (this is the 2nd cave
door, not the 1st one)
8. Punch the door several times you will need to select the torch to
punch with your fist
9. Enter the cave and pick up the key, Ammo, and Gold
10. Go Left to the starting screen and press 'K' to select the keys.
Align yourself up with
the door and punch and it will open. Go through it
11. Kill enemies and go right.
12. Kill enemies and pickup watch
13. Go left and enter the large hut (go between the 2 man-eating plants)
14. Go right and as soon as you enter press 'J' and immediately go
through the door at the right
15. Press 'C' and 'T' to activate the torch and punch the greenish
humanoid looking thing once
or twice and get away fast or when it burns you will die. Pickup the key
16. Exit the hut and go right and punch the cross in the center of the
door on the hut.
17. Enter the hut and pickup the "bottle pills".
18. Go left and enter the large hut (go between the 2 man-eating plants
19. Go right and as soon as you enter press 'J' and immediately got
through the door at the right
20. Go right one more time. Go up to the man lying and press 'O' and
drop it (same as picking up),
Press 'U' and drop it, and finally press 'W' and drop it. Now
pickup the key.
21. Exit the the hut and go left
22. Enter the hut and pickup the Magic Stick and quickly press 'C' so
not to use it. exit it the
other door and go right to the first cave (the one with the door
still in front of it). Press 'K'
and punch the door several times.

Ok, I finally figured this game out. The bad news it appears that the game is missing some data. I was initially playing with the WHDLoad version testing out the updates and when I finally completed the village level the slave exits with a seek error on disk 2. I initially thought I need to fix the imager, but I decided to play the game from disk first. When playing from the IPFs I found I was able to complete the level, but upon exiting the gfx were corrupt, but I was still able to put the gold on what was suppose to be the scale. After this a screen appears stating that you have found the elephant grave yard and then goes black.

Ok, so now I was curious, so I downloaded the Atari St emulator and played it all the way through. The amiga version has some slight gfx differences and more enemies, but the solution is the same for both (the cheat "alrichmlpe" also works on the ST version). So the scale is there and then after the message, a single image of you standing in the graveyard is presented and thats it.

Anyone know if any of the cracks are complete or is this a mastering issue like Crap(ck)down?

I decided to order both the original retail and Kixx versions. Hopefully one of them will be complete.

I will be putting together a complete walk-through. As complete as it can be.

Dan, AKA SeasickSteveOre AKA warrenterra79 AKA forgottenretroworlds, never did make that video but he did do one for the (actually finished!) mostly identical ST port:
