Gotek drive firmware for Amiga general USB mass storage solution

Would it be possible to write a new Gotek firmware, capable to use the connected USB drive as a generic mass storage solution?

It would be great!
This could be another way to exchange files between PC and Amiga (other than PCMCIA+CF, IDE+CF, wireless/wired network cards, etc.).

It would require a specific driver or program, but... would it be possible?

Yes, it's definitely possible - just a question of someone with the right skills being interested enough to do it, I guess!

The Gotek selector software lets you see the contents(ADFs etc) of the USB ? - but how could it be accessed?(Not ADFs)
