Whats the longest Amiga Music Demo in the History of Amiga?

I'm currently jammin to Jesus on E's while looking up more Blitz stuff and the thought occurred... I wonder if there's anything out there longer than Jesus On E's at just over 30 mins total for the first sequence before the second one repeats for the credits infinitely. That's impressive for 1.7mb of data!

granted JoE's repeats a bar of audio 2 to 4 times for each sequence... but it sounds and looks great nontheless.

So what's out there that'll beat JoE's in terms of playtime for a music demo?

Lets break it down into these three sections to make it easier/fairer to judge:

Longest single track music demo (Like Jesus on E's)
Longest multi track music compilation (like Digital Concert)
Longest traditional scene demo (hmmm this needs more definition :P )

I could have sworn it was just over 26 when I taped it to cassette back in the day. But I could be wrong... either way it's pretty anal of me to even comment

actually you're right. it's 26 until it cuts to the repeating song with credits. just over 30 when you've read the credits and quit

Do cracktros count? I have seen some on Amiga and C64 that have a lot of text that doesn't repeat for a long time. Or do you specifically just mean the length of the music?

yeah if the length of the music isn't just repeated. for example, JoE's lasts 26 mins before a repeating the credit soundtrack and graphic repeats.

i think compilations should count too, though.

I still enjoy Digital Concert to this day i think (if you press an F key for the next song just before the current one repeats) they might have a chance at beating JoE's. haven't timed it though

Maybe it should be split up...

Longest single track music demo
Longest multi track music comp
Longest traditional scene demo

Always liked the Digital Concerts and of course JoE's... Watching Alcatraz's Odyssey right now... forgot how much i liked the music

"A demo is the result of the cooperation of multiple young programmers, music and graphics artists. They work as a group (demogroup) on a demonstration program (demo) in which they show their skills at graphics and algorithmic programming, computer generated graphics and music. With these demos the groups then compete with others at large parties in various competitions all over the world."

straight from scene.org... now we need a short version

Demo: Pretty lights and jingles on a computer for the amusement and contention between software authors.

Hows that? Do I win £10?
