yeah this version i have has the crap speech thing too... i remember a few years back my mate had the original and it came without the dumb speech synthesis... this sucks!!!!

Sierra only wish they could have made games as good as Delphine.

And yes, Amiga speech was only good for the novelty of typing in cuss words to have it say them back when you first bought an Amiga and are exploring the system and Workbench. Beyond that, it's 'orrible.

Well, the speak handler/device that came in WB2+ wasnt half bad, because it had some cool extra options. I dloaded a program from the Aminet that added a lot of useful options, and I could peel Kraftwerk-like robotic voices

Neat stuff

yeah but it really spoils this classic game - you have to wait for the amiga to read the text out to you before you can continue!!!! bah! anyone got a decent copy, i can't get it to run in 512k RAM settings in the emulator so i have to play it with sound ARGH!
