WinUAE on Amiga Forever question
If I am not mistaken does AF use WinUAE as its emulator? Is it possible to "upgrade" the WinUAE Binary with the latest beta and get it to work?
Will the AF menus/options will still be compatible? I have an older version on Amiga Forever which I use for the Kickstart ROMs and Workbench files but I can't justify buying a newer version if it doesn't give me anything additional I don't have. Thanks Mike |

Amiga Forever uses WinUae as the emulator. I have AF 2006 version but not using it at all. (buyed it only to support the amiga)
U should be able to simply overwrite the installed winuae.exe and theoretically it should work. I would, before doing anything, use the 7zip or winzip to zip the entire folder where AF's winuae.exe is, and then try out the new version. So in case you do not like the changes (or something does not work), you can simply unzip and revert the changes to the files. |

Moral of the story... why use Amiga Forever???
 ...just use WinUAE directly, which is the brains / main part of AF. If you want a front-end then use GameBase Amiga
