Yeah, but PFS3 is not working for me too... with beta7 it just hangs the machine!

This could be a little problematic since I use a 40GB HDD. But I will try to recreate this on a smaller drive and send you the image.

I just got PFS3 v18.5 working on partition beyond 4G with beta1.... testing in progress.
I'm getting confused on what's working with what version... |

As a side note I'd like to ask if there's any difference on performance/stability using the 060 version (on a 060 of course!) of PFS3 compared to 000/020 version?

I know very well SAS/C's code : 060 version will be 0.5 % faster than the 60000 version... Not more...

Alright, a bit more testing done. PFS3ds v18.5 behaves just like SFS. It works perfectly with scsi.device beta1, while with beta7 it simply does not mount or format a partition.

Piru refuse to help, refuse to fix something into the Pfs3 v18.4 for working fine with big HD...
The roots (68k) are very important for a tree (Amiga) to grow up (PPC)... Without strong roots, no way : why this evidence is so hard to understand ? I don't know... So, I'll keep the Doobrey's hack into this new scsi.device version : we need Pfs3 working perfectly on all HD ! Sfs won't work with partitions beyond the 4 Gb border : excuse-me for that. If some C/C++ coders will fix Pfs3 v18.4 in the future, I'll remove Doobrey's code... Thanks you so much for all beta testers : we have a good IDE driver now for A600 & A1200. Together we are stronger ! |

Thanks for the continuous work my friend.
I'll give a try today (yay for Saturdays) and report back. Edit: Everything works fine on my A600 with ACA630. A1200 will be tested in a while Last edited by mfilos; 09 July 2011 at 11:49. |
