Ways of accessing to the early startup?

Hello, just a quick question, is possible to access the early startup with other ways apart from holding the two mousebuttons?.

you could arguable build a small swich that connected to the mousey port and when you turned it on, it would act as though both rodent buttons are clicked!

but kinda defeats the object.
