automatic savestate when you quit a game ?

Hi amigans,
is there a possibility to make an automatic savestate when you quit winuae ?
command or else ?
I did an amiga cab and some amiga games don't record scores it could be a possibility to keep the high scores, undertand that with a cab, i can't ask to the player to push ctrl-f12 and make a savestate i need to make it automatically, is it possible ?

If you find solution that never causes accidental overwrite of user's "normal" savestate when exiting..

Maybe a reg/ini setting? I don't dare to ask for another GUI checkbox If it's set user should be aware of the possible consequences.

If this is front-end related(?), simple configuration file entry that points to statefile that gets written when emulation quits should work?

Sounds like a nice idea. Wasn't really asking because of any frontend, but that's another interesting aspect.

Here is "any solution": press state file short cut key before exiting!

There is already "load state at startup" configuration option, another for exit should be logical enough

How about a periodic save-state option with basic configuration/setup (a500/1200 etc). This would mean a crash would not result in having to restart

Emulator can't detect if game works as expected or has (partially) crashed and you do not want periodic pauses either..

No but if it does periodic saves anyway (at users settings) then it wouldn't matter. Again with pause. It's up to the user!

Yeah but sooner or later it saves just when game is about to crash or when you died or something.. In my opinion it is too unreliable.

"State recorder" works better because it saves to RAM and allows "rewinding". (It still needs some improvements..)
