Not gonna talk you out of it, because it usually isn't possible, but... Any special reason? Patriotism? Royal Mail employees nicking every parcel going abroad?

I must say the response from webhead hits me as pretty ...strange. The only difference when I send a parcel abroad from here is adding the country name as the last line of the address. Really. That's it. Customs slips in triplicate form, and pay a royal mail inspector to check for terrorist content, or what? On a serious note tho, I'd like to know what makes it more work in the UK, as it would explain some eBay sellers' shananigans. |

Nothing at all, once you have packed it in a box it could go anywhere in the world. Only difference is price - which of course the buyer pays. I guess the only difference is having to weigh it and find a price for the overseas buyer - you can pretty much guess English prices without needing to do that.

Not more work. But ripped off. How does that ripping off work, though? Surely the recipient pays in advance? Lots of returns claiming money back, or what?
I'm still asking stupidly cos I've always wondered about those guys on eBay and so on... almost everybody does it but nobody says why they CBA, as you put it Ok hmm so now I need a native Brit to be my middleman and can send it to here... as you can see I'm still plotting evil schemes, hehe. |
