Hideout for your real Amigas
Hi,
due to the fact that I'm building a house at the moment my several Amigas went to storage in several boxes. At the moment I'm using only WinUAE to gain back the Amiga-Feeling. Where are the hideouts of your real Amigas? Cheers, Rick |

Some are hiding on shelfs and in cupboards...haven't touched anything Amiga related since the end of last year after I caught a serious vintage DOS gaming bug

sad to say, mine A600 is stuck on a shelf, havent touched it in a few YEARS, the 1200 i had broke, thanks to the catweasel and the cdrom i was using. parted when packing away. Catweasel was inside with the cable coming out the side, couldnt get the computer to boot from the internal hard drive after that, using a single cable direct from drive to motherboard, so i threw in it in bin.

My serveral A500 and A600 are in boxes on a shelf. So i always have the option to use any Amiga i want |

Most of mine that aren't in active service are in the cupboard in my office.
But there is a CD32 hiding at the bottom of the wardrobe along with a C64 and a Spectrum. There are 2 A4000s hiding under the bed (much to the missus dismay ). |

They're all in a dark, cold closet at my brother's place. I check up on them once in a while

In hiding, eh?
CD32 - permanently plugged into main telly Project A1200 - currently has its guts spilt all over the house as further mods are installed. Pimped A1200 - still in bits pending yet another rub-down & respray. Most of the PC's have Amithlon installed on them I don't have a huge amount of Amiga hardware as my roots are elsewhere... |

One of my 500's is in it's original Screen Gems box
Two of my 500's & a spare CD32 are stored in the wardrobe with the above... My 1000 is on my main desk with my plugged in 500 on top (1000 is all disconnected - just on show really and have no space room in the wardrobe ) Oh and I have a CD32 under my telly ready for action, tis not plugged in although I did have a play downstairs with it today |

My A4000 is right in front of me on my desk. My CD32 is on the shelf. My A500 is connected to A1085S monitor ready to fire up Great Giana Sisters the game that my 4 year old daughter loves! My A600 and 2 A1200 parted away for new Amigas at the time!

My A1200 has not once been disconnected in 10 years, except for moving it around, and it's still connected and used today

A1200 has always been connected since buying it new (with its own 14" Microvitec 1483 goldfish bowl monitor!)
A3000 connected since buying it a couple of years ago (shares LCD with PC) Everything else is in boxes/cupboards - though I do have a further A1200 up and running with a 1084S at the moment to test bits and pieces, and my A1000 is easily accessible for real nostalgia! - Ali |
