Not sure about Platman being the full version - I will have a look into this a bit later...
I think the Sim City type game you are talking about may have been a cover disk... I seem to remember there being a game like this that came out on an Amiga Format cover disk in the late 90's - I will have a think... |

Was it this http://hol.abime.net/5146
Breed 96 If so I will investigate a full release if this is the game you mean... Re: Platman... this is only a demo but it contains the authors details so I will try to contact him if I don't have any luck finding the full game. Last edited by Peter; 04 October 2009 at 11:41. |

YES !!! Breed 96 was the one. Well found.
re: platman. I also tried to contact him a few years back and i had no luck. I was remaking Platman for PC and was hoping to get consent. I got a 1 room engine running, item collection working, keys working on doors... I was then struggling with room arrays and some teeny collision pobs with walls and jumping... Its a project i'd really love to finish one day but my coding skills are pretty weak. Would anyone be interested in seeing this, i'm quite proud of what i achieved ? |

hitm4n - I have uploaded R3 to the zone for you.
Leave Platman & Breed 96 with me for a while and I will post back with any progress I make in un-earthing full versions (Don't hold your breath though ) |

Thankyou. I think you'll stuggle to contact the platman author (was it John Hardie?) and i've a feeling that the next level was never released. Breed 96 i have zero clue about...
I'll sit and hope |

RE: Plat-Man
hitm4n - have you read the comments about the game on Lemon Amiga here - you may have to scroll down the page a bit to find Plat-Man - if you read the text on the comments section of the game you will see that the author (chizzer) states... chizzer - 2007-12-05 I made the game for "The One Amiga" magazine. It was never really finished and it was rushed due to the mag wanting the game for their next edition. I did write the full version that featured jetset willy, manic miner and monty mole levels, but I'm unsure if I still have the disk. If I find it, I'll re-post. Thanks a lot to everyone who played it, I'm really chuffed with that. It doesn't look like he has ever posted back and this post is from 2007... I will leave a message for him at Lemon asking him about his full version of the game and see if he comes back to me - I will update here if I hear anything... I don't think that anyone other than the author himself would have a full version by the sound of it... "The One" Issue mentioned is Issue 80 (May 1995) Click Here |

Good find. http://amr.abime.net/issue_363_pages
Scan of page 6 shows the game. So, 2 years ago eh, and i see he only ever posted 2 comments so i bet he's never returned to the site. I wonder if the site owners could be persuaded to pass on the email address he registered with and we get lucky and its still valid A longshot... It does sound like there is possibly more Platman goodness to be had though, so worth persuing i think. |

Well i thought i'd share my Platman demo anyway Cursors and Space to play and on menu. Turn music on first (was off for testing) and help page does work. F1 ingame for interesting debug mode, you can see my collision working. Small download, 30 seconds of play http://homepage.ntlworld.com/hitt.man/platman.zip
