Anyone still using "SID" by Timm Martin?

Hi..........

I've spent most of the Christmas holidays trying to rebuild the HD on my A3000, it hasn't seen much use in the past 16 years and a combination of backup disk/tape deterioration and a faulty scsi lead has lead to a total loss of all files over approx 200k (including SID). When i got the Amiga in 1996 it had a reg'd version of SID2.01a pro already installed so this was the only dir util i used on a regular basis, everything was controlled from SID via scripts etc, i know there are others (and maybe better) but i really want SID back!

I have found a copy of SID2.01a pro in the TOSEC archive that does work with my old scripts and config files but the problem is every time i click anything in the SID screen the whole SID window rewrites itself, seriously annoying! This only happens on the WB screen, it does have a custom screen option but it only works in a very low-res that doesn't really work on my monitor.

I do remember this issue from way back but i just can't dig out the solution from my memory - can anyone help?

Thanks

I have not used the program, but maybe you can use a screen promoter program like Newmode/ModePro to get it in your desired resolution.

Thanks FRYGUY, It was worth a try and i can see how they would help (more so Newmode) but my PIV wouldn't cooperate.
