Burnout - Installation and KS issue

Heya guys,

Ok, so I've just installed Burnout to a HDF file...

The installation is not easy; it requires you to move files from each disk into DH0: and then certain directories before un-extracting

Anyway; with the effects there are 2 archives:

a) -AuraEffects-
b) -Effects-

You can only have one so I went with "-AuraEffects-". Is this the best one to use and can anyone tell me the difference?

Next thing is that the game is AGA but if I use:

a) a "KS ROM v3.0 (A1200)" the text / images are slightly stretched.
b) a "KS ROM v3.1 (A1200)" the text / images shake.

I ended up using a "KS ROM v2.05 (A600HD)" and all is good but is this not strange given it's an AGA game?

So I have added the following files from Aminet that gives you:

... 4 extra cars.
... 8 extra arenas.



I've put a file in The Zone! called "Burnout.lha".

All you need to do is extract this to your hard drive and everything is included

One of my favorite games

I have fond memories of playing it with friends same as I have with games like Worms,
Cannon Fodder, Settlers and other classics.

It was underrated back in the days and still unappreciated.
But the game is bloody fun when played in 3 or 4 player mode. And you didn't need the adapter, 2 joysticks and keyboard worked fine.

...what the hell are you supposed to do in the bonus stage? I can't move left / right, only accelerate (which is no good as I usually fall down a hole / crash into an object while other cars can at least break)

Yeah the bonus is tricky
Hold up to accelerate and press fire to break before you crash. The one that got further and didn't crash gets a point. Who crashed gets -1. And the others 0.
