Nope, your experience is probably to do with this:

i.e. too many anonymous users connected when you are trying to download something.

Yup, only 21 more post to go and then you can register a proper account

  • You can register an account, previously called an "upload account", to get access to full speed and upload rights, but...
  • Registered accounts are limited to 50GB/week download.
  • To register an account, you must have an EAB Forum account that has at least 50 forum posts to its name. The last post must be no older than 5 days old.
  • If you already have an "upload account" from earlier, you do not have to do anything.
  • You can change your FTP password and check stats etc, here: http://grandis.nu/eab

So I can just ramble on on about some useless nonsense in 21 more posts and get access?

Just kidding. I wish I could have remembered my old account info. I joined sometime in 2010 or something and forgot my account details, too late now. Now only 20 to go.

I download from the google drive mirror and it’s insanely fast. If you don’t need to upload that might be the easiest

GameBase 2.0 WHDload tested working installs

I finished testing all of the WHDload installs to match the GameBase 2.0 database to the point of where they brought up the WHDload screen (gamename version 1.2 etc) and then I stopped right before the game loaded, I did not go much further than that. The games listed in the attachments that do not work will not make it to the WHDload screen or will error out before loading.

I renamed the following titles in the "GameBase 2.0 WHDload Not Working or Renamed Games.txt" as well so they will load with the default database. I did not update or do anything to the database at all.

The Misc section is just reference, the games work, they are just mis-matched or something is off with them.

Again I did not go to the game loading screen on almost all games, so if they do not work it is the game itself, I just wanted to make a simple drop-in folder where all the games at least go to the WHDload screen and not error. All you have to do is drop the WHDload folder into the Gamebase extras folder.

I included a Spreadsheet that will help me later for updating to newer installs it will list all of the games as well in detail. I also included the games that did not work for me but may be tweaked to work on your own, in the Not Working folder.

I will upload them as bobrpggamer\GB Amiga 2.0 Updated WHDLoad 2019-7

Files are:
WHDload Folder (all Gamebase 2.0 WHDload games)
Not Working Folder
Documents.rar
Virus Scan Not Working Folder.txt (yeah I am that anal)
Virus Scan WHDload Folder.txt
Readme.txt

I hope this helps.
Attached Files
File Type: txt GameBase 2.0 WHDload Not Working or Renamed Games.txt (8.2 KB, 177 views)

I've been getting a few donations over the past few months and I've been thinking of what to spend it on. Paying for the ISP is so boring so I decided to upgrade the cache ram on the RAID controller from 1GB to 4GB instead.

Will this help EAB? Probably not. But it will increase the life of the disks with more things being cached so.. I dont know. Just thought I'd spend the money you donate on hardware for the FTP instead of beer. =)

In either case, the FTP will be down for an hour or so this weekend while I upgrade and test the new ram.

Good news that you are getting some donations through for this vital service that you provide for all EAB

You should at least spend some of it on beer though

So it explains why I didn't notice a service break while searching for a file this week-end

Awesome RetroPlay! thanks

Perhaps a subsection in ISO's with REDUMP parallel to TOSEC?
We should prepare for TruRIP as well then
