Complex AmigaDOS wildcards

So, the way I see it, the #? wildcard for AmigaDOS works as in: ? is any single character, and the # prefix before ? is for any number of characters. So if I use this Windows CMD wildcard for a filename:

Code:
"?2 *.exe"
then the AmigaDOS equivalent would be:

Code:
"?2 #?.exe"
?

I'm not able to try this out for the moment as I'm not at home, but am I correct, and that the ? wildcard can be used in multiple places in a filename?

Yes, that's correct. AFAIK, there's no limitation on the complexity of a pattern.
